Welcome to Holy Family Parish, Maroubra
As the sun rises in the East over the salt water of the Pacific Ocean to light up the day, so our parish tries to be salt and light (Matthew 5:13-16) to everyone in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, bringing the love, peace and joy of Jesus.
Holy Family Parish seeks to be an open and welcoming community to people of all ages and backgrounds. We have ministries in the Parish welcoming participation in our youth group, play group, seniors, sacramental programs (especially for Catholic children in State schools), choir/music ministry, social justice group, Couples for Christ, rosary and novena groups, guided meditation, home visitation to the sick and elderly, and local aged-care facility masses and more.
At the present Holy Family is coupled with Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish Pagewood under the one parish priest. Whilst the parishes remain separate entities, there is a natural cooperation between the two. This arrangement may change with the “Parish 2020” project.
You are most welcome to attend our parish masses and to approach one of the priests or Mass Coordinators to introduce yourself. Please do, we would love you to be part of our community. (Fr John Hayes PP)
The salt which keeps our Christian identity intact even in a very secularized world is the grace of Baptism... Just as salt gives flavour to food and light illumines the darkness, so too holiness gives full meaning to life and makes it reflect God’s glory. John Paul II (25 July 2001)
